Welcome to the IAEI Illinois Chapter!
The IAEI is the International Alliance of the Electrical Industry (Formerly the International Association of Electrical Inspectors). The IAEI is an organization incorporated in 1928 made up of electrical industry professionals including electrical inspectors, journey person electricians, contractors, engineers, manufacturer’s, test labs, apprentices and students. Providing educational training on the National Electrical Code (NEC) and locally adopted Codes is the main purpose of our conferences. In addition to staying current with the NEC, it is a good place to learn about industry trends through educational conferences and networking with other like minded electrical professionals.
The IAEI Illinois Chapter meets twice a year typically for continuing educational conferences that issue CEU’s for renewing your state licenses. The January conference is held in the Chicago area in conjunction with the Chicago Electrical League. The May conference is usually held in the central Illinois region. There are six local divisions that make up the IAEI Illinois Chapter and meet on a regular basis throughout the year. Those are the IAEI South Suburban Division (Southern Chicago Suburbs), Chicago Hogan Division, Northeast Suburban (Chicago Northern Suburbs), Suburban Division (Western Chicago Suburbs), Northwest Illinois Division (Rockford area) and the Central Illinois Division (Bloomington/Normal/Peoria area and all counties South of I-74)).
